Fundy National Park, New Brunswick, Canada
Late June, witness the biggest whale migration and most extreme high and low tides. Walk in the mud at low tide barefoot.

San Juan Islands, WA
Sea Kayak with Orcas; eat blueberry pie on a cold winter beach.

Zion National Park, UT
May-June; *hike to Kolob arch, world’s largest arch*, and to the (nearby) Wave at Coyote Butte, then get a massage at the Red Rock Spa. *Canyoneer the Subway* and a more technical slot like Pine Gulch.

Backcountry ski and stay in a hotsprings cabin, photograph wildlife.

Kayak and stay in a houseboat. Hike nearby Paria Canyon.

Go ice climbing and soak in hotsprings, stay at Box Canyon Lodge.

Rocky Mountain National Park, CO
Backpack in summer. Take a nap in a meadow. Take the tram up Pike’s Peak. Rent a jeep and drive up a 14-er.

Yosemite National Park/Eastern Sierras, CA
Raft the Upper Kern or Tuolomne Rivers, find hotsprings, attend Strawberry Music Festival (near Labor day), snowshoe to Vernal Falls and to Horsetail falls (at sunset in late February; water turns to “fire” in sunset light). *Ski to Tioga Pass Resort.* Bag Whitney again.

Hike 4 days of the Inca trail. See Condors in Colca Canyon. Drink a Pisco Sour and eat a skewer of rare meat. Take a boat to an island in Lake Titicaca and have dinner with a local family. Discuss the price of eggs with them in Spanish.

Cappadocia, TUrkey
Stay in a “fairy tower”, mountain bike between towns, scuba dive in nearby Canakkale

Do the Via Ferrata, stay in a Refugio, drink beer at 9K”+

Go back in Spring. Sunbathe and picnic on the Seine, take the train to the south for cooking classes and cycling, take the train to Amsterdam for clubbing. Argue with a local about the dangers of smoking in French.

Japan
Backcountry ski in Hakkoda-san, and snowshoe alongside the ocean where the snow meets the surf.

New Zealand
Hike and ski in the same day. Bungee jump and kayak on the same day. Photograph a kiwi.
